First draft
This is the first draft storyboard. Although this also displays a clear shot number, shot type, illustration of the action and any dialogue sound or camera movement it is a slightly varied story line to the final draft. In this storyboard, Nancy's friends are part of the story, they are the ones who detect an issue with Jacks behaviour and try to protect their friend. However, we later discussed that to add as much tension as possible, seeing Nancy alone and isolated more would make the audience feel more on edge.
final storyboard
A storyboard is a sequence of drawings, typically with some directions and dialogue, representing the shots planned for a film.
My storyboard is the final edition in order to create our film opening. It is sectioned into 30 different shots, accompanied by a simple illustration displaying the action that will take place in that shot. In addition to that, it specifies the type of shot so when filming we know exactly how to get around shooting that section. Also, the storyboard states any dialogue, sound or camera movement that will feature in that shot. As an example, I included a close up of the characters feet as the opening shot which is accompanied by eerie music to add tension. The final storyboard differs from the original draft because we adjusted the storyline and discussed different editing prospects. We also intended to make the final draft more accurate so shot is drawn in detail.
